COREPURPOSEOFJOB

  • To ensure the processing and effective administration of handed over student accounts & Accounts Receivable in compliance with Nelson Mandela University policies and procedures, as well as administration and processing of written off bad debts.

KEYPERFORMANCEAREAS

  • Ensure accurate maintenance of batch uploads of electronic payment files from external debt collectors.
  • Validate process and monitor write-off of accounts within the Institution.
  • Accounts receivable processing of journals and account monitoring of handed over cases.
  • Handle written and verbal enquiries.
  • Validation & verification processing of non-active student accounts.

  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Financial Management skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for appointment to this post, the candidate must have

  • Matric with Financial Accounting I, with at least three years’ experience in a financial environment.
  • National Diploma in a finance qualification with at least two to three years’ experience in a financial environment. Banking experience would be advantageous.
  • Applicants are subject to reference, credit and criminal checks.
