CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To lecture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct and publish research within the discipline of Marketing Management, supervise both masters and doctoral students, as well as deal with administrative work. 

 

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Facilitate teaching and learning of Marketing
  • Conduct and publish research
  • Supervise post graduate students
  • Provide academic administration
  • Capacity to work with the other members of the Marketing Management Department

CORE COMPETENCIES

 

  • A sound knowledge in the theory and application of Marketing principles
  • Ability to facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, especially in strategic and applied marketing
  • Ability to conduct as well as present research findings at conferences and meetings
  • Proven track record of supervising masters students in the field of Marketing
  • Ability to administer modules involving large numbers of students.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

The candidate:

  • Must be in possession of a Marketing or Business Management doctoral degree
  • Must have experience in lecturing at the undergraduate and post graduate levels in the field of marketing.
  • Must have supervision experience 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with  a proven track record of published journal articles in refereed and DoE accredited journals, and/or book chapters and have presented research findings at conferences
